This was my big race for the year - a three day stage race in Quebec about three hours northeast of Montreal. There was an international field of competitors, including teams from Italy, Ireland, France, Brazil, the US, Canada, and Quebec. ;) The winning team, Sole, is consistently ranked in the top five teams in the world, so to be racing on the same course as them is pretty damn impressive if I do say so. (Never mind that their overall time of 27 hours was almost exactly half of our 54. Man, they're fast!)
The course was as beautiful as it was brutal - lots of uphill, lots of distance covered (250k total, give or take a little), lots of (believe it or not) fun to be had. Fun, especially in hindsight. For over 14 hours a day, three days straight we: asked ourselves "why?" many times, drank about 9 litres of water, ate several pounds of sandwiches, clif bars, gu shots, and fruit, and burned about 7000 calories a day. That's a whole lot of energy in and out!
Chris, Drew, Jim and myself raced, John and Michelle ran support. Great race everyone - its funny how much you learn about what you're capable of every time you race. I definitely feel like we performed well as a team, and I'm personally very happy with how it all worked out.
Same time next year?

(I'll be making topo maps for each of the days, and in theory I can create elevation profiles, at least for a few of the legs. I'll stick them all here when I've got 'em done...)
BTW - as of 9/1 I've added the pictures taken by the Endurance Aventure folks to the end of the gallery.
